CASE STUDIES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
OCEAN BEAUTY SEAFOODS
Ocean Beauty Seafoods needed to expand their headquarters and upgrade their computer networking and telecom needs at the same time. Because of their prime location and the necessity to be on the waterfront, they wanted to stay in their existing 15,000-sq. ft. administrative office space.
OASIS managed the phased project over a seven-month period, choosing the general contractor and overseeing the selection of sub-contractors to ensure timeliness and cost containment, particularly in change orders. We worked closely with the CEO, CFO, Facilities Management and the outside architect throughout this project. We also managed the permitting process (especially difficult because of the waterfront location), moving and re-moving of employees, installation of new furniture systems, cable racking and distribution design, electrical and the selection and installation of a new phone system. The project, even with changes and expansion, was completed on time and within budget.
EASY SYSTEMS
Easy Systems had 48 employees and was growing rapidly. They needed more space, plus expanded communications technology and hardware to accommodate their expanding U.S. customer base. They wanted to move to a new 16,000-sq. ft. space, but were simply too busy to deal with the complexities and coordination of relocating. In a three-month time span, OASIS managed the planning and complete corporate relocation for them.
OASIS coordinated the telecommunications and cabling needs, new furniture delivery and installation and the move of customer content and computer rooms. Working with the CIO, OASIS provided assistance in the enhancements and relocation of critical data information systems. Thanks to OASIS, employees left their desks on Friday and were able to report to their new office on Monday morning ready to seamlessly resume their work. |
