OASIS was formed in 1981 by John Balch to fill the need for an independent systems furniture installation company. Until that time, all furniture installation firms were either associated with a furniture manufacturer or dealer. Mr. Balch had the foresight to seize the opportunity for a service that would allow corporations (no matter which furniture product line they purchased), to install or reconfigure any system. For the first ten years, this was the core service that OASIS provided.

In 1984, a relationship was cemented with Microsoft to project manage all their tenant improvement projects across the nation. Thus the discipline of project management became another core service that OASIS could provide its clients. OASIS was also providing inner-office moves for its clients. With the deregulation of the moving industry in 1996, OASIS began promoting the service of full corporate moves which has been very successful. With the additions of these facilities services and businesses beginning to "outsource" some of the facility management disciplines OASIS once again seized the opportunity to add other key services to their product menu. Some of these services are CAD design, and space planning.

Through the 1990's, OASIS has made strategic alliances with HVAC, construction, janitorial, landscaping, mechanical, security, and property management firms to strengthen the depth of services that we may offer to our clients. Our recent market research indicates that cabling is one of the most sought after services, and is almost always outsourced. Again, OASIS wishes to seize another opportunity to satisfy the market need. As a privately held company incorporated in the state of Washington, OASIS was named by the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the "100 Fastest Growing Private Companies" in 1999 and 2000.
